Helen Helton, 78 of Glendale Heights, IL entered into the Kingdom of Heaven On January 29th, 2025, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. Helen was born in Manchester, Kentucky on January 5th, 194 7, to Caleb and Anna Lee France. She grew up on a farm with her sibling’s Ruth, Junior, Albert, and Larry France. Even though life on the farm was hard at times, Helen cherished the times there.
Through family and friends, Helen met the Love of her life, Steven Helton. She was a loving wife of Steven for 50 years until his death in 2018. They had two children together, Robert and Beth Helton.
Helen worked for Alexian Brothers Hospital for over 30 years in business systems. Helen loved to garden and took great pride in her yard. Often receiving recognition from the village of Glendale Heights for her landscaping talents. She also loved to bake and to cook and would share her southern meals with all who would visit. her favorite thing to do later in life was to spend time with her beloved Golden retriever, Holly. You would catch both of them sitting on the deck listening to the birds and just enjoying the sounds of nature. As a mother, she instilled love and laughter into the lives of her children Robert, and Beth. The Helton Family would like to Thank Central DuPage Hospital and Accent Hospice for caring for mom in her final days. She is survived by her son Robert Helton. (Nancy). Her Daughter Beth Helton. Beths fiancee Gilberto. His two daughters Renee, and Crystal who she cherished as her own Granddaughters. She is also survived by her Brother Larry France of Manchester, KY. Sister in law’s Barybee Smiddy, Mary Ascue, and Linda Helton (Knopp) Along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in Death by her beloved husband Steven. two Brothers Albert and Junor France, along with one Sister, Ruth Smiddy. And One Nephew Larry France. Mom will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
