Hope Little

Hope Charlotte Little nee Bruhn was born December 27, 1935 in Norwood, Illinois the daughter of William F. and Theresa V. Bruhn.. She peacefully passed away in her sleep at the Tower Hill Health Care nursing home in South Elgin Illinois on June 10, 2019 at 2:27 AM with family by her side. Services will be held at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel in Roselle Illinois at 10:30 AM on June 14, 2019. Visitation will begin at 8:30 AM that same day.
Hope lived in the Chicago area most of her life. She graduated from East Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois. She married Orville “Bert” Little at Manheim Baptist Church on March 4, 1953. They lived in Leyden Township until 1962 when they moved to Roselle, Il. The marriage was blessed with four girls and a boy. Bert was killed in an automobile accident in 1969 at the age of 32 and Hope continued to live in the family home in Roselle where she waitressed at various restaurants until she moved to Sandwich Illinois in 2002. She later resided at the Grove of Saint Charles for more than a year until recently being moved to the Tower Hill Health Care facility. Her hobbies included sewing, needle work, bowling, and her favorite BINGO.
Hope was the third of four children born to William and Theresa Bruhn and has one surviving sister, Faith Nietzke. She is also survived by her five children, Theresa Wrobleski, Hope Johnson (Bob), Faith Whitwell, Joe Little, and Kim Little. She has 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Laverne Frabizo, and her brother William.
