We are heartbroken to announce the death of Jeffery Muir Williams. He died fighting for his life at the Bolingbrook Hospital, September 11th 2023 at 2:58 am, after a short life of 55 years. Born April 9th, 1968 in Kirksville, Missouri Jeff was an indomitable, spiritual, deeply sensitive, silly, intelligent and influential person. Jeff is survived by his wife, Sharon Williams (NEE Hamilton). Also, by his children and their spouses: Joseph and Kellie Williams(NEE Markus), Jeffery Williams, Jaclyn and Christopher Megenbier (NEE Williams), Jordan Williams, and Rose Williams. He celebrated the births of his grandchildren: Emma Williams, Madelyn Williams, and a new baby girl expected this winter as well as his many nieces and nephews. Furthermore, his father Larry Joe Williams, his step mother Julie Williams (NEE Wenn), his sister Jen Young(NEE Williams), and her husband John Young. We hope he gets to meet with the ones he lost during his life ,once again. Such as his Mother, Marsha Marlene Muir, his son Jeffery Shawn Williams, and his grandparents; Ducky, Joe, Thelma, and Shelton. And last but not least his best friend Matt Hogan. His accomplishments are great and commemorable. Aside from the milestones of graduating from Proviso West High School and marrying Sharon Hamilton January 23rd of 1988 at The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, he protected many, comforted multiple, even strangers, created his painting business “Best Painting” to support his family, published a poem, was a drag racing contestant on the popular show, “Pinks all out” and “Street Outlaws”, was champ of his class at the Union Grove, Wisconsin drag racing competition, and a 2017 GLD Gate Model Muscle winner. He was proud of being the Sears, Company Fishing Tournament champ, his ability to pitch a baseball at 98 MPH, being a yearly NMRA and a NMCA Super Bowl World Street Finalist dragster, and a committed Chicagoland Speedway dragster. He enjoyed golf, baseball, drag racing, writing, drawing ,car mechanics, history, science, gardening vegetables (especially the spicy ones), Family movie nights (specifically Smokey and the Bandit), tart sweets, the color forest green and his first home in the country towns of Missouri; Milan, Kirksville, and Green City. He made sure to bring his kids to school in his race cars so they would feel cool, and making forts for them too, although maybe he made them for himself since he fell asleep in them anyway. Jeff will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts but, to honor his memory we are holding a celebration of life September 24th on Sunday from 12 pm-4:30 pm at Salerno’s of Rosedale. You are not required to wear black. If you wish you can even wear any racing shirts you have. Anyone who would like to share stories and memories of Jeff can feel free to do so at the service. We invite anyone who knew him, who was impacted by him, and who wishes to lend support to attend and reflect with us on his wonderful life. In lieu of flowers we invite you to make a donation to a charity of your choice or his wife and family though the go fund me at the URL: http://gofund.me/23d7de1c. We can all agree that he gave his heart and soul to others and was, and still is, surrounded by love and support his whole life and till the very end. So, thank you to all of those who positively impacted his life and to any names not mentioned thus far. Among the many lessons he instilled upon us he left this for all of us in his daughter’s voice mail,” From the greatest struggles, comes the largest rewards. Don’t keep your head down, look your head up. Change the world.”

No matter how difficult a time he was having at the track, he always managed to find himself having the BEST time and always made us laugh and smile. We will miss him dearly; Godspeed Jeff Williams!

I met Shari at Boric's many, many moons ago and she was my boss and friend. I heard about Jeff all day long, but only met him one night at probably a party. He was smitten with Shari and vice versa and we at Boric’s used to kid her that he was younger. I went to their wedding and bought that wonderful photo of the two of you dancing ❤️ You two were so in love. Your children are beautiful and grandchildren lovely. The two of you did that!!! God bless the Williams family with peace and comfort. He may not have had a long life but look at all love you two made. ((Hugs))
