In loving memory of Jesus T. Cruz Jr, whom passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 12, 2024.

Jessie was born on November 11, 1954 to Jesus Sr and Conchita Cruz in Marikina, Philippines. He graduated from Asian Institute of Science, studying Electronic Technology. He worked at multiple companies throughout his life including a Telecom company in Saudi Arabia as a telephone technician.

In 1980, Jessie met Veronica at a carnival. They fell in love almost instantly and got married January 30, 1983. He was the devoted husband of Veronica for 40 years, loving father of Vivien, Patrick, and Clarissa, and a doting grandfather to Julienne. He is an avid reader, music lover (The Beatles fan), and loves watching movies and sports. He enjoys watching anything on Netflix and YouTube. From travel channel to cooking shows to comedy shows and even conspiracy theories and anything in between.

In 2005, he immigrated to America with his whole family. He worked at Spraying Systems Co. in the assembly lines and was later trained as a machine operator until he retired in 2019.

He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. One of the kindest souls on this planet, he was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. Early in life, he learned the importance of hard work and instilled that same work ethic on his kids. He was always there for his kids, whether they needed help with their homework or just a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of strong faith and he taught his kids the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. He was a true role model whom his kids will always look up to. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The memorial mass will be held on January 20, 2024, 10 AM at St Matthew Church, 1555 Glen Ellyn Road, Glendale Heights, IL, 60139.

Jessie, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
