John “Jack” P. Murray, Age 92. Loving husband of Margaret (nee Curcio). Devoted father of Kathy (Tony) Mulizio, Donna (Wes Wendt) Cosenza, Joe (Donna) Murray, Mike (Marnie) Murray, Kelli (Rick) Ahern, the late Peggy Buruato, late Tom Murray and the late John Murray. Beloved son of the late John J. Murray and Grace (nee Kimler). Proud “Papa Jack” of 28 grandchildren and “Papa Jack” to 36 great grandchildren . Dear brother of Ellen (late Paul) Gast, Joe (Alice) Murray and the late Edward (late Marge), the late Bea (Bob) Riefke, the late Renee (Bill) Powers and the late Kay (Don) Blunk. Fond uncle and cousin of many. Jack was a faithful Catholic, talented tradesman, family man and friend. Visitation Monday January 10th from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. A family gathering will be celebrated at a later date when family and friends can safely celebrate Jack’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, 1140 W. I saw the name in Tribune obituaries, looked familiar, and yes we were graduates of St. Mel HS in 1947. Not many of us left. Amazing how after 75 years names are still retained. Jack and i were friends in HS but we never connected after graduation. I found his picture in our grad newspaper. I wish the family well and peace to Jack.
