I met John just over 40 years at Oak Meadows. He and his buddies had four (4) season tee times there. I was invited to play on a trial basis to see if I would “fit in” with the group. I met Bear, Snowman, Zey, Keyo, Chink and all of the boys. John and the group made me feel very welcome and I played golf with that Saturday group for many years. Tulio and Chris sub’d with us many times as well. Everyone who met John remembers him as a great guy! He was a fun, loyal friend. We never had a cross word. We had so many good times together, usually on a golf course, and he will be missed.

Johnny, we hardly knew ye. Johnny will be sorely missed. We can all cherish the memories of his dry wit, his ever present smile, and his never ending love for his friends and family. Wednesday nights are going to be a lot different, but we’ll go on with the knowledge that he lived life to the fullest, and we’re all the better for sharing it with him.

I was a friend of John over the years and whenever we got together we would always talk baseball and golf and knock down a few beers. It won’t be the same without him at the 4th of July at his cousins house . My prayers are with him and his family and I know his father was a devoted Cubs fan and John was Sox fan be prepared for a lot of Thunder this summer from the heavens.

I was fortunate to get to know John over the last few years. We played some golf together and joked with each other a lot. His personality would make you smile when you were around him. We also met many times at the local OTB to play a few horses once in a while. John, you will be missed by many. My deepest condolences to your family. Rest in Peace my friend.

It has been years since I last saw John. We went to grade school together - st gerts in Franklin park and played baseball in Franklin park. John could play and had a great smile and attitude on life. He was part of the Franklin park neighborhood - he living on the corner of Louis and Minneapolis - me - 2 blocks over on Schiller blvd. Think he played wiffle ball in Erl’s backyard. And I know he played at Gouin park. We played b-ball on st gerts team on Sunday at the St. John vianney gym. Crazy how I can remember it like yesterday. Rest in peace John. Keep a watchful eye over us!

To the whole Ioriatti Family Being neighbors with John, Rise, Mike & Chris for 8 years in VP was one of the best times of our life … So many stories from the day we moved in until the day we moved out ! There are people who you might not see as often as you’d like but they never stop being family and you pick right back up where you left off …. This is true of the whole family but John always added a bit more to it … I keep thinking of times in the back yards and the laughter and how much a part of big life changing moments we shared together … Rest in peace John …. We have an empty feeling in our hearts ….
