Kenneth C. Mulsoff at rest June 22, 2023, husband of the dearly departed Patricia A. Mulsoff (Stift),
devoted father of Joanne (Alfredo) Perez, Suzanne (Christopher) Kilgas, Sandra (Bruce) Sorensen, and
Ronald (Jessica). Proud grandfather of Lisa Kilgas, Matthew (Sara) Kilgas, Gregory, and Eleanor Mulsoff
and great-grandfather of Quinn Kilgas. Dear brother of John (Kathleen) Mulsoff, Molly (Johnson)
Mulsoff and the late Shirley (John) LaManna, James Mulsoff and Jerome Mulsoff. Uncle to many nieces
and nephews.
Ken was born on 12/13/1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Eleanor Mulsoff (Schimanski). Graduated
in 1952 from Weber High School, Chicago IL. Ken had a great love of the outdoors, especially hunting
and fishing. He played softball, and handball, winning several Regional and National Handball Singles
and Doubles Handball Championships. He proudly served the YMCA for many years at the Lincoln-
Belmont, Oak Park, Evanston-Camp Echo, then moving on to Cedar Rapids, IA and finally Janesville, WI.
All this time, Ken continued to referee basketball or umpire softball on nights and weekends.
To honor our father’s wishes, the funeral service will be for family only. We invite you to please
celebrate Ken’s memory in your own ways. Private interment at Maryhill Catholic
Cemetery and Mausoleum, Niles, IL to follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the Mulsoff family requests that a donation be made in Ken’s memory to Camp Echo
at the McGaw YMCA. Checks should be made out to: McGaw YMCA Camp Echo, 1000 Grove St.,
