It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Marc S. Goodman on December 5, 2023 at Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, IL at the age of 63.

Marc graduated from Maine East High School in Des Plaines, IL. He attended classes at Northern Illinois University and was a member of the Delta-Eta chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity. Marc was married to Priscilla “Pepsi” Donzelli in 1984 in Des Plaines. He worked at JRC Industries for over 20 years as a home showcase artist and cookware distributor. He later held various sales roles within AT&T and the Chicago Tribune. It was often said that he could sell ice to an Eskimo.

Marc was a loving husband, devoted father, caring friend, and compassionate grandfather. He was a devout follower of Christ and always put his faith first. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wheaton before joining Highpoint Church. Marc served in the children’s ministry for many years as children brought him so much joy. Marc was an avid animal lover and often spent time fostering the neighborhood cats. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Priscilla, sons David (Meagan) and Daniel (Deondra), daughter Valerie, mother Rosalyn, sister Saree (Victor), brother Alan, cherished grandchildren Justice (4), Jeremiah (4), Caleb (2), Judah (1) and Nathaniel (5 months) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Goodman.

A visitation service will be held in memory of Marc at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake Street Roselle, IL on Monday, December 11, from 4 to 8pm.

A funeral service will be held at Highpoint Church 1310 N. Main St, Wheaton, IL on Tuesday, December 12. Friends and family are invited to gather at 10:45am for a service at 11am.

Flowers sent to Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels or donations to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) would be greatly appreciated.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Mark. I did not know him very well, but I am a TKE and we were all brothers and always will be. God bless you all.

I was the Goodman's neighbor for many years and Marc was always nice and caring. He always sat on his porch and fed the neighborhood cats and other animals. He cherished his family. May he rest peacefully.

Marc I am so saddened to hear of your passing. We recently reconnected and I truly appreciate the early days of our friendship growing up in the Dee Park area. I remember you were the first to get your drivers license and the day you got it you took us cruising. May you rest in peace my friend. You touched a lot of lives and that is truly a blessing

Dearest Marc, I met you when we were in our 20's. I have loved your kindness and gentleness ever since. We shared our love of cats. You are going to be missed by the neighborhood cats dearly. You had a heart of gold. I will never forget you, and will miss the connection we had, as we grew old and gray through the years. Forever in my ❤️ heart.

Words, however kind, cannot mend your broken heartache; but those who care and share your loss wish you comfort and peace of mind. May you find strength in God, in the love of family and in the warm embrace of friends. May God bless you all and keep you strong in your courage and convictions. May Marc’s memory be eternal.
