I was sad to learn of Marlene's passing. She was an example of determination and kind-heart found in many accounting students at Northern Illinois University. I am so happy that she was able to complete her degree! We were all proud of her.

Heaven gained the best angel. Marlene was beautiful inside and out. Our family all loved her, especially our 3 year old son Oliver. He loved the souvenirs and little gifts she gave him, and loved making videos thanking her and just talking to her. She will be sorely missed. We love you Marlene!

Marlene will always be a bright and shiny star in our memory. She was sweet but strong, and loved life. We will constantly keep her close in our hearts. She brought so much joy to our son Jeff and our grandson Ollie just adored her.
