Brian and Jay (and family)....what can I say? 5 short months ago we all lost a good friend in so many ways. Your dad was such a good and spiritual man along with your mom. And now, your sweet mom, Merrily, has joined him. At his wake I can still hear her say how unbelievable it was that he was gone, and she wasn't sure how she would live without him but stressed she had precious family to help her. I can't remember RLC without Dave and Merrily's involvement. They attended every function, wake or funeral there was to be had. They never said NO to anyone. When I needed help with Vacation Bible school, they were there to help me. ...for not only what I would need assistance with, but anyone who asked. I never met more faithful people who were dedicated to their faith, community and family as much as them. I can't tell you how sorry I am for this devastating loss. I will always believe your dad waited patiently with his arms outreached to take your mom home with him. As hard as this is, they only parted for a short time; now they shall never part again. Take solace in memories of happier times. The love they shared with you and all around. Until we all meet again, God bless. May God grant you peace and comfort. And give eternal rest of your mom. Brain and Jay: We're so very sorry to hear of Merrily's passing. Both Merrily and Dave were great friends of ours over the years. Shirley has known your parents since Sunday School at Peace Church a very long time ago. Merrily stood up for our wedding and both Dave and Merrily visited us at Camp Lejeune, NC in July 1972. The picture I posted shows both Brain and Chris (our son) hiding as we visited a local revolutionary memorial. Please accept our sympathy for your loss. You had two wonderful parents who we will all miss.

Now that your suffering is over and you are reunited with Dave, we take solace in the fact that you are together forever. You have 2 wonderful kids, and we will try to emulate to them the generosity, love and support you gave to us, over the the past 25 years. All I know is that there was always so much laughter, and fun and you were a big part of it. New Years' s Eve, Vacations, Game Night. Dinners, pumpkin Carving, Easter Egg Coloring. Most especially, we are grateful for the generosity you gave our 2 kids. You never missed a birthday party, you came for their Baptism, 1st Communion, and Confirmation. I'm grateful to God for putting you in our life, and a bit angry for taking you and Dave, much too soon! Thank you for everything and our prayers for you is to enjoy eternal peace. And until we meet again, we will remember you, love you and miss you forever.
