With deepest sympathy, our thoughts and prayers go out to Donna and the entire Battaglia Family. My wife and I are so very sad to hear about Pat's passing. Pat was a very good friend, as I knew him for about 40 years; during that time we played a lot of poker together. Poker was Pat's favorite game, his family was is greatest love. Pat was very smart, strong and tough, yet very kind and caring, and he treated everyone honestly and fairly. May God Bless Pat and his family, and may he rest in peace. With fond memories, Your Friends, Ron & Rossana Zito.

Dog was a charter member of the Chi North SAC. It was founded in 1968 at 5413 w. Diversey Ave Chicago. All the fun that we had there will last until the last member's last memory fades away. We will never see the likes of men like Hot Dog again. Chet, Joey, Jerry Bones, Big Lou, Little Louie, Pat M, Jimmy, Ronnie, Mike and Eddie

I was very sad to hear of Pat's passing. We not only were classmates at Weber but we worked together on the Police Dept. Pat was great to be around and we had a lot of laughs. God Bless him and his family.

Battaglia was in my class at Weber. No offense intended, but we all called each other by our last name or some kind of strange nickname. Never by our first names. Battaglia was smart, funny and had a strong sense of fairness. He was a big guy and no one messed with him. Indeed, he stuck up for the smaller guys. I remember him fondly and am glad I got to catch up with him again in the last year when he attended one of our irregular meetings of the Class of '65 for beer and pizza at the Countryside. We'll raise one (or two, or three, or ....) in his honor the next time we all get together again. Cheers, Battaglia! We're gonna miss you.

To the Battaglia Family, Donna, the Girls, Louie, Spouses and Grandchildren, Laura and I are so very saddened to hear this news. We send our love and prayers to each of you. When I think of Pat, I think of his bark...which once you got to know him was quite humorous. He had such a great sense of humor, for those who took the time to listened. Pat had a what seemed to be such a tough exterior, but for those who were blessed to truly know him, knew him as a gentle man. With a heart of GOLD! Who loved his family endlessly. I (we) have many wonderful memories of him throughout the years. May GOD keep you close and help you get through the difficult times ahead. May each of you draw strength from all of the wonderful memories you have deep in your hearts. XO Love, Karen & Laura
