Dear Tom, Ray, Ralph and Paul Polly was my "Big Sister" and I loved her with all my heart. She was the strongest person I know. She always had a smile, always wanted the best for all of us. There was always a positive look on life no matter what was thrown at her or you guys. She did so much for so many and she made this world a much better place being here. She always made of laugh in some way when she was off on one of her driving adventures, especially to Medinah with Ray, off to an appointment or attempting to get to Woodfield prior to them extending Rohlwing Rd I used to tell her they did that just for her. She was loved by so so many people. I will always be here for you guys day or night. Love you all. Kathy John , Adler, Noah, Heather C1, C2, C3, C4 (Thank you Aunt Polly for the nick names the girls have) and Nate.

I met Polly as our kids went through school in Medinah. Her boys were older than mine, but Polly's network, presence and influence was vast because she was a connector. It did not take long to realize that Polly was a devoted mother, wife and friend. Polly was also a passionate and fearless champion for kids. She was a eager student of education and educational policy and used her knowledge as a school board member. She was also a fearless champion for special needs kids. She did not just fight for people with disabilities in her own family but much more widely. The past few years, Polly battled the disease that took her life as she battled everything else - with enormous courageous and infectious optimism. She was a woman who inspired. Polly, I learned so much from you. You will be greatly missed ...

I will always remember her smile. She lit up the room with it and her warm loving heart. As a new member of the family when we met you made me feel welcome. My first marathon shopping trip with you, Debbie, baby Paul and Heather. All my love to Tom and the boys. My life is better for having know Polly.
