While we were on the CPD together, we shared a love of the Northwoods. Phil would meet up with us and we grilled under the quaking aspen and birch. Dining along the tamarack stands. We loved the four seasons of the northwoods! We would meet up with our other passed workmate and fan of the Northwoods, Teddy W. on the shores of Chequmegeon Bay with those cool breezes off Lake Superior. We spoke of sharing Montana with Phil but it was not to be. Phil is truly missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.

I had many conversations with Phil over the years in 18. A gentle giant. It was so great to see him at the last retiree's luncheon he was so happy and said he would come to more in the future rest in peace brother.

I worked with Phil (I called him Philly) in the lockup in the 018District. He was very even tempered and a pleasure to work with. RIP buddy.

So very sad to hear of Phil’s passing. We were classmates together at St. Clement’s school and reconnected in the old neighborhood and again on Facebook. Prayers of comfort will be offered in his memory.

My condolences to Phil's entire family. Phil was a great guy. I worked with him when we were in the 18th District. A nicer guy you couldn't meet. He will be missed by family and friends. Rest in Peace old friend.
