Robert C. “Bob” Vuglar; Beloved husband of Rose nee: Anzalone, the late Jeanne nee: Anderson; Devoted father of Mary (John) Larrison, Joseph, Maureen (Ed) Finneran, Todd (Nina nee: Leiby), Mark, the late Robert (Judith nee Brown), Timothy (Laurel nee Dolittle), the late Vincent (Cortney nee Stepler); Loving son of the late Joseph and the late Blanche Vuglar; Dear brother of the late Joseph, Delores and Rita; Dear grandfather and great grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; Step-father of Anthony (Pam) Anzelmo and Christine (Tim) Sutberry and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; Dear uncle to many.
Robert “Bob” Vuglar, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at his home in Bloomingdale, IL with family by his side. Born October 22, 1931, Bob grew up in Bensenville, IL where he attended Fenton High School and participated in numerous sports. He went on to graduate from I.I.T.
He also proudly served as a corporal in the United States Army as an electrical engineer.
Bob married Jeanne Anderson. Together for thirty-four years they had eight children.
Jeanne sadly passed away in 1986. In 1996 he married Rose Anzalone and they enjoyed twenty-seven happy years together.
An avid fisherman and hunter he enjoyed many trips with his six sons, grandsons & nephews. He was also a great fan of hockey and a great contributor to the Schaumburg Hockey League. All of his sons, grandsons and even a granddaughter played hockey and he loved to coach and cheer them on. He was an active member of the Bloomingdale Lions Club where he participated in fundraising events and enjoyed many golf outings with his sons, family and friends.
