In Loving Memory of Ronald J. Tuozzo

Ronald J. Tuozzo (81) born September 20, 1942, passed away suddenly on October 26, 2023, while in his home state of Illinois with his loving wife Mary C. Costello (Chriss). Ron was named after Ronald Regan because his mother Helen thought he was so handsome as a young actor. Ron spent his life’s career as a Drafting Engineer and was extremely talented in woodworking. He crafted by hand many items such as a chess board, rocking horses, sleds, jewelry boxes, and many intricate items for his grandchildren. Ron was skilled at repairing everything and was always there to lend a hand or offer advice. He was also a U.S. veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corp as a young man. He played hockey in his younger years and some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, archery, riding his motorcycle, and traveling. He and his wife had just moved to Tennessee four years ago to enjoy the country life. Ron was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. All that knew him would identify him by his sense of humor and he always had a pleasant disposition and tried to make everyone laugh. He was devoted to God and to his family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Helen (Sciaraffa) Tuozzo, and by his brother Michael Tuozzo. He is survived by his children Mary Tuozzo and Charles (Todd) Tuozzo, stepchildren Patrick Lubash and Larry Lubash, and grandchildren Natasha, Alex, Ciana, and Brendan. Ron’s family also includes his older brother Frank Tuozzo and younger sisters Regina Piotrowski and Julie Tuozzo.

He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched and remembered for his helpful and gentle nature, as well as his sense of humor, jokes, and amazing smile. May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation Tuesday 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Chapel Service at 10:30 a.m.
