Ricordo la sua premurosa ospitalità, le sue risate, e, la cura che metteva nel suo essere Moglie e Madre ineguagliabile, sempre sorridente. Un giorno Giuseppina mi disse che, aveva l'impressione che lei e Santina si conoscessero da lungo tempo, come fossero cresciute insieme e, quando Giuseppina si ammalò, quante telefonate per informarsi della sua malattia! Coraggiosa, di fronte al male, determinata a combattere, riusciva a non mostrare, neanche a telefono, la sua sofferenza, chiedeva sempre degli altri, si informava delle mie nipotine, mi prendeva in giro perché di nipoti ne aveva molti più di me. L'ultima volta che l'ho sentita, mi disse; la cosa importante è non lasciarsi mai scoraggiare dalla malattia, non cedere mai, aveva capito che il suo conto alla rovescia era iniziato. Buon Viaggio Santina!
