Craig W. Deneau, 48, Streamwood, IL, died unexpectedly April 17, 2019.

Craig was born March 14, 1971, in Dixon IL, and was a lifelong Northern Illinois resident. He was raised in Oregon, IL, and spent the balance of his life after high school living and working around the far-western suburbs of Chicago. He lived in his house in Streamwood for the past 19 years and was co-owner of Ohlson International Logistics where he was due to celebrate their 20-year anniversary in June. He was the proud godfather of his niece Courtney in Florida, with plans to participate in her upcoming graduation and journey into college life.

He enjoyed taking care of his house in Streamwood and being king of the street where he took care of the neighbors. Craig would be seen in his plow truck during every snow storm cleaning all the neighbor’s driveways during the early AM hours, always reliable to have snow cleared for early morning. Every spring he would plant “Mom’s dahlias” and was the talk of the street as he had them flourishing over all these years. He loved to spend time with family, especially traveling to Savannah and Miami for various family events. He was a die-hard Cubs/Dolphins/Blackhawks fan with expert knowledge of each. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving his Mustang Cobra and participating in a simulation baseball league in Rochelle of which he was a member for over 30 years.

Craig is survived by his brother Doug Deneau; sister Nancy Heminghous; goddaughter Courtney Deneau; nieces Valarie Wiles, Jessica Francois; nephew Andrew Francois; great nephews Zach Johnson and Wes Johnson; great nieces Brooke and Alexandra Wiles.

He is preceded in death by parents, Ruth and Leroy Deneau; Great Nephew Collin Francois; Bosko and Brewster.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 27th from 3pm-9pm at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle, IL.
