Daniel J. Pieroni, age 75, retired employee of ComEd, former firefighter in Carol Stream and a former baseball coach. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Smith); devoted father of Daniel Jr. (the late Sherry), Jeffrey (Julie), Patrick and Elizabeth Pieroni; dear brother of Norma (the late Jerry) Verhulst and the late Chester (Bernadette) Pieroni; dear grandfather of James, Jeffrey, Emma, Rebecca, Patrick, Nathaniel and Jessica Guevara; great-grandfather of Shea and Logan; master of Ladybug and Wrinkles; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday, 9 a.m. from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (¾ mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road), Roselle to St. Luke Church, Carol Stream for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
