Guido Calcagno

Guido R. Calcagno of Streamwood, IL passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Guido was a devoted father to Jason (Dana) Calcagno and Simone (Scott) Gordon. Beloved papa to Joey, Gracie, and Sam. He was a loving son to the late Cuneo and Ruth Calcagno. He was a brother to the late Gus Kanakas and Nikki Skogseth. He was a good friend and co-parent with the late Cheryl J. Calcagno.

He is survived by his youngest brother Cuneo Calcagno along with many nieces and nephews all of which he adored. He also has a host of other family friends that he had a special bond with and his fur companion, Lucy, his dog of 14 years.

Guido enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He always loved to have a house full of people to eat and laugh with. He loved to cook and bake; it was a passion of his. He also enjoyed playing cards or going for a long drive. He always had an open door and an ear to lend.

Guido will always be remembered for many wonderful things, but mostly for his huge, kind, and generous spirit. He loved his family and friends and would do anything for them. He may have had the smallest house, but always had the biggest home!
