Kathy Jeanne (Duckworth) Morris was born in Peoria Illinois on March 30, 1952 and passed away on August 23, 2021. She was raised in Princeville Illinois and attended Princeville Grade School and High School. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in teaching and Library Science. She began her career teaching at Marian Catholic High School and then went on to be at technical librarian at Weiss Memorial Hospital, The American Foundryman Society, Fantus Corporation/Dun and Bradstreet, and Berger Library Consulting. While raising her family she was a substitute teacher in the Glenbard High School District.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Daniel and her three sons: Sean (Kate), Aron (Nicole) and Ryan (Sarah) along with six grandchildren: Jack, Lucy, Cecelia, Cameron, Kelley and Quinn. She was predeceased by her Parents.
Kathy was the ultimate supermom who raised three sons to be loving, considerate, and compassionate young men, husbands, and fathers, being competitive in school and sports and life. She attended every soccer, baseball, and football game the boys participated in as she could even including three college football bowl games. She was a religious education teacher and participated in different scouting projects. She was also a very busy chauffeur carting the boys and their friends from here to there. She loved to do cross stitching, crossword puzzles, playing Mahjong and keeping three boys in line. She also enjoyed in participating in the many Knight of Columbus family activities.
Kathy was thrilled when the boys brought home their future wives to make it even boys to girls. She now also has three grandsons and three granddaughters.
Kathy had many titles in her full life which included: daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, wife, teacher, friend, but the title that she cherished the most was Mom and Grandma. She loved her family dearly and they gave her back to her the same amount of love and more.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Healthwell Foundation or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation who were with her during this journey.
