Lillian Helen Czmiel (née Ruskiewicz), age 87, Beloved Wife of the late Raymond J. Czmiel, Loving Daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Ruskiewicz, Devoted Mother of Vickie L. Krawisz (née Czmiel) and Joseph C. Czmiel, Cherished Grandmother of Holly Stechly (née Krawisz) (Chad), Nicole Czmiel, Tiffany Krawisz, and Michael Czmiel, Cousin and Good Friend of many, passed away on Friday, October 29th, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Lillian had a vibrant, generous spirit, and she loved spending time with her friends and family. During her life, she enjoyed going to Polish dances, listening to polka music and dancing like the wind to her favorite Polish bands. Her son Joseph is a Polish musician, and she took great pride in listening to him play the trumpet and sing.

Lillian also enjoyed working with her husband Raymond in their trucking business, Ray’s Delivery Service. She did the payroll and handled all the bookwork for more than 20 years. After her husband passed away, Lillian got a job at the Schaumburg Township District Library at age 70. She enjoyed working with the people at the library over the course of 14 years and made many life-long friends before she retired in 2018 at the age of 84. A devoted mother and grandmother, Lillian’s family was the most important thing in the world to her. She almost never missed a fun or important occasion in their lives. She had an extra-special bond with her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Grandma Bun” and “G-Unit” for fun. She was truly the Matriarch of her family, and she will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, from 3-9 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, 450 W. Lake Street, Roselle, IL.
