Lynn A. Chermel
Lynn was born to her loving parents, Leroy and Delores Steffan on August 31, 1953 in Park Ridge, Illinois.
She was an incredibly gifted and driven individual, and that much was obvious from an early age.
Once her mind was made up, she would find a way to complete any and every task.
Lynn was a college graduate and went on to work as an insurance agent for most of her professional life.
Lynn met her husband-to-be, Don at Catholic dances and the two of them were inseparable from then
on.
Their union was made official on September 13 th of 1985.
It was Lynn and Don’s collective dream to become parents and to raise their children in a supportive and
loving home. In May of 1995, their wish would be granted and they would take home baby Ryan for the
first time.
Lynn’s favorite things to do included vacationing to Oregon, where she could spend time with her
relatives and show Ryan her favorite places while also discovering new ones with her only child.
Lynn also enjoyed going out to eat with Don, it was a weekly, and sometimes daily event. When the
family was still young, Lynn would travel with Ryan and Don all over the United States, and even the
world. You see, she was an adventurer of sorts who found beauty in nature in every place she
adventured.
Lynn was an animal lover. She was the proud mom of Choncey, and a proud grandma to her to grand-
doggies, Joy and Nihilus.
She was an avid walker and would oftentimes take Choncey on several walks a day, whether it was
winter or summer.
Lynn was incredibly devoted to her family throughout her life. Whether she was helping her husband
and son, or flying out to Oregon to take care of and be with her brother, Ron as she was always driven to
aid anytime she had the opportunity.
Lynn was granted her angel wings on March 2, 2019 after living a happy life alongside her husband,
Donald and son, Ryan.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Donald, her son, Ryan, and her brother, Ronald.
Her death was a shock to her husband and son, and family alike, but to those who were touched by her
grace came to know that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which one lives.
