Patrick Lubas, of Streamwood, Illinois, peacefully passed in his sleep at his home on December 16th 2020. He was the beloved husband of Vickie Lubas, step-father to Ian and Shaun, fondly named and called Bumpa (Grandpa) by Johnathan, Christopher, Jenna, and twins Daisy and Rosie, loving son of the late Michael and Lorraine Lubas, and the youngest brother of Michael Lubas and Robert Lubas.
Patrick was raised in Fox River Grove. As a little boy on the playground he watched the trucks and motorcycles go by on the road and the planes go overhead. He dreamed that one day he would operate them all. His dreams started to come true, one by one. He bought his first motorcycle not long after getting his driver’s license, flew his first solo in a plane at age 18, and spent his work years starting in some of the big rigs over the road, before settling with a local company driving for road building. And of course, there was never a time that he didn’t ride and own Harleys.
Around 2002, Patrick was blessed when he was able to buy into a private plane in a partnership. He took great pleasure in blessing others by sharing rides in it with anyone who would accept. This was his second love, and Vickie was his first!
