Stephen A. Vasquez, 71, died October 24, 2020 at Sunrise Senior Living Residence, Bloomingdale. He was born July 25, 1949 in Chicago, the son of the late Fernando and late Laura (Santisteven). He is survived by his son Michael A (Jaclyn), daughter Katrina, daughter Felicia, son Michael S (Laura), three grandsons, Anthony, Joseph and Oliver, sisters Sharon and Stella, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve graduated from Proviso West H.S., Class of 1968. Following, he served with the U.S. Air Force (1968-1972} in Germany during the VietNam war. He attended Lewis University (1972-1974) and earned his A&P certificate. He also served in Air Force Reserves (1974-1978). Steve worked for Flying Tigers as a line maintenance mechanic then in various positions at FedEx Chicago and Fort Worth until he retired in 2015. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 29th at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel from 3pm to 9pm. They are located at 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. During visiting hours, it is Recommended to follow the current State of Illinois guidelines. Guests should continue to wear masks and practice social distancing. Due to church restrictions, church services on Friday, October 30 will be restricted to immediate family. Followed by graveside services at St. Mary’s Cemetery Evergreen Park, IL
