Xuan Thi Tran, 87, died peacefully the morning of Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Born in Tân Yên, Quỳnh Lưu, Nghệ An Việt Nam, in 1935, Xuan married her husband, Thuyen. Together, they had eleven children before Thuyen immigrated to America in 1975 with their two eldest sons. Xuan stayed in Việt Nam to raise and care for their other eight children as life in Việt Nam. She owned a clothing store and sold homemade fish sauce to support her family. Xuan will always be remembered for her willingness to sacrifice for her family, her warm heart, and dedication to those she loved. Over time, a few of her children immigrated to America and, ultimately, Xuan immigrated to the U.S. in June of 1992.

Throughout her adult life, Xuan expressed her love by cooking large meals for her family, often while using ingredients that were grown in her garden. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially when all her children and grandchildren would come together for holidays. During these functions, Xuan would smile nonstop as the family celebrated and bonded while playing her favorite traditional Vietnamese games. Xuan was a loving and hardworking mother and grandmother, she is survived by a vast family of children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Although she is no longer of this world, Xuan’s legacy of love, perseverance, and thoughtfulness remains with her family.
