Lawrence F. Kamin, Ph.D, O.F.S., Age 79. Beloved husband of JoAnne Kamin. Loving father of Matthew (Diana) Kamin and Jennifer (Kevin) Seay. Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Maya & Jia Kamin and Maggie Seay. Dear brother of Barbara (Pat) Perille, Marilyn (Fred) Barrera and Melanie (Ron) Bentley. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 7, 2024, 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Church, 427 E. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale. Interment will be held privately following mass at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.

Dearest Friend Larry and JoAnne, You will be sorely missed by me and Ron and will always remember your funny jokes and great humor. Many laughs and fond memories with you and your sweet wife meeting at Panera Bread for just the fun of seeing our best friends. Holidays were very special to us being with you both enjoying each other's company and exchanging hugs and kisses at Christmas time. It was so heart warming to see you both enjoying life with your family and friends. We will never forget you and hope some day to see you again standing next to Our Lord and Mary our Mother . May God bless you and all the people waiting with you waiting to meet the Father in Heaven. See you soon dearest friend, will always be in our prayers sweet and good man and beloved husband. My condolences to the Kamin family. Dr. Kamin was unique, blending intellect with humor. He was tough, fair and fun. As a biology major, class of ‘91, I will always be grateful to Dr. Kamin, not just as a teacher, but for the man he was. Thank you Larry! And RIP! Jim O’Boye
