Lawrence F. Kamin, Ph.D, O.F.S., Age 79. Beloved husband of JoAnne Kamin. Loving father of Matthew (Diana) Kamin and Jennifer (Kevin) Seay. Cherished grandfather of Olivia, Maya & Jia Kamin and Maggie Seay. Dear brother of Barbara (Pat) Perille, Marilyn (Fred) Barrera and Melanie (Ron) Bentley. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 7, 2024, 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Church, 427 E. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale. Interment will be held privately following mass at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.

My condolences to the Kamin family. Dr. Kamin was unique, blending intellect with humor. He was tough, fair and fun. As a biology major, class of ‘91, I will always be grateful to Dr. Kamin, not just as a teacher, but for the man he was. Thank you Larry! And RIP! Jim O’Boye
